MD, DE, WV and Eugene from OH are from Joseph Alfonse's descendants. John P. was the brother of Jos. A. and Francis X., a priest and died in St. Louis, MO; their other siblings, all female, became nuns in France and had no descendants. All others except possibly Lillian are from Francis Xavier who settled in the Westerville area of OH. The last name in France (previously part of Germany) has been spelled all of the following going back to the 1700s in and near Ottrott, Alsace Lorraine, France/Germany:
