| Victor LeRoy Tryon was my father. He had 9 children with his wife, Betty "June" (Shaffer) Tryon. He was born in Michigan but resided with his family in Greenville, OH. He is interred at the Dayton Veterans Cemetery, Dayton, OH. His oldest son, Thomas "Tom" Trent Tryon accidentally drowned in the Virgin Islands in 1999 and was buried at sea. His other children are Terry Ted in Noblesville, IN; Regina June in Greenville, OH; Timothy Todd in Florida; Sue Ann (Swisshelm) in Greenville, OH; Tracy Ty in Greenville, OH; Thad (Ty) Tyler in Greenville, OH; Tab Taylor in Northport, FL; and Gail Elizabeth in West Palm Beach, FL. Victor was a Jack of All Trades and a master of none. This is my Grandpa Tryon, my father's father, who spent most of hist time in Greenville, OH, having a service station there for years, and loved tinkering and working on classic cars. I was not very old when he passed, but I remember he had an awesome late 40s-early 50s pickup in beautiful shape, that I loved to ride in when I stayed with them for a month each summer growing up.

| Betty June (Shaffer) Tryon was born 10 June 1927 in Van WErt OH. SHe was married to Victor L. Tryon and they had 9 children. In her early married years she workd at Central Drug STore and then spent her remaining years caring for her many children. This is my Grandma Tryon, my fathers mother, who spent most of her time in Greenville, OH. She was well known to babysit everyone's kids when they needed help, and was also well known for her Sunday breakfasts, which always included monkey bread and Suter's yard sausage. Once I got old enough to realize toys were not as cool as a birthday present, she would ALWAYS bake me a angel food cake, and they were always the best birthday present I could have ever gotten.
She always knew where Charlie (the house spirit) was in the house, always known for squirreling money for saving by putting a bill, be it a $1, $10 or $100, in a magazine she was done with and putting them in the attic. I always wondered what they found when they cleaned out the attic.
She was kind, stern, stubborn, and very loving to everyone. I stayed with them for a month each summer growing up, and I loved the ability to, when I was 8-15 or so, ride my bike all over town, and she always gave me a couple of quarters so I could stop by the candy shop and get penny candy at the candy shop that used to be on the corner of Pine and Wayne (where the Realty office is now). She'd also take me down town for the ice cream socials, and for the Annie Oakley Parade. She taught me several life lessons, which still remain to this day.
1) More expensive does not mean better
2) When you are hot, you don't need a pool, you just need to be where the fire department is practicing with their new equipment (by the water tower)
3) It is a stupid move to place a special coin in a coke machine slot (or spend a special bill).
4) $2 bills are very cool to own
5) If you had a jar of pennies in your home, you will never be without money.
6) Believe in Charlie, while you can't see him, he's real - and believe in miracles
7) And the most important lesson she taught me? To always, no matter how bad the situation, smile and be positive. This would be the extreme version of making lemonade from lemons. No matter what happened, she ALWAYS had a smile for me, and no matter how bad a situation, she would always find a positive in it for me.

I was in my early 20s, and I had the opportunity to introduce her to my youngest daughter before she passed. She wouldn't let her go the whole time she was there. She even changed a diaper, which was likely the last diaper she changed.
