Gaylord L. Tribby, New Richmond, Succumbs At 68
NEW RICHMOND -- Gaylord L. Tribby, 68, of rural New Richmond died at 4:45 a.m. Thursday in the Ben Hur Nursing Home at Crawfordsville after an illness of five weeks.
Mr. Tribby had been a member of the New Richmond Methodist Church, the OES and was a past master of the A&FM Lodge.
A native of New Richmond, Mr. Tribby was born Oct. 6, 1898, the son of Leander and Margaret Patton Tribby. He was married to Mildred E. Dunn April 29, 1919.
Surviving are the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Joan Oppy of New Richmond; a son, David E. Tribby of Dunedin, Fla; a niece, Mrs. Margaret Cowan of Crawfordsville, and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Helms Funeral Home in Linden with Rev. Richard Rehard officiating. Burial will be in New Richmond Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Saturday. - submitted by

Mildred Tribby
NEW RICHMOND -- Services for Mildred "Punk" Tribby, 76, of St. Petersburg, Fla., were Monday in New Richmond Methodist Church.
Born Oct. 4 1900, at New Richmond, she was a daughter of Scarr [sic] and Martha Mangold Dunn and had made her home at St. Petersburg for the past five years.
She was graduated from New Richmond High School. She was married April 19, 1919, at New Richmond to Gaylord L. Tribby. He died in 1966.
Mrs. Tribby held memberships in New Richmond Methodist Church and New Richmond Order Eastern Star 377.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs David (Joan) Oppy of New Richmond; a son, David Eugene of Dunedin, Fla.; a brother, Chester Dunn of Oakland, Calif.; a sister, Ethel Sparks of Lafayette; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The Rev. Larry Call officiated at the service and burial was in New Richmond Cemetery. Helms Funeral Home of Linden was in charge of arrangements. - submitted by
