In the early years of his marriage he farmed near Alexandria and ran a hardware store. The family moved to Colorado Springs around 1954. Fay worked in real estate for many years. Fay and Gayle moved back to Fairbury, NE in the early 1970's. Then moved to Alexandria and ran a family business (The Four Theives) a steak house. Gayle died while they were in Alexandria.
Fayette married Wanda in the mid to late 1970's and lived in Lincoln where he had a cobblers shop in the lower floor of their home. Fay and Wanda moved to a small trailer on the Blue River near Milford. Fay loved living near the river and loved to feed the geese. Fay died at a dance he and Wanda attended while camping. - submitted by
