Mrs. Harrie O. (Ella) Stuedemann, age 78, of Lester Prairie passed away Monday, Jan 1, 1979, at Glenhaven Nursing Home, Glencoe.
She was born August 30, 1900 in Bergen Township, McLeod County, daughter of the late Ewald and Martha Raether Breyer. She was baptized Sept. 17, 1900 and confirmed March 16, 1913 at St. Peter's Lutheran, Lester Prairie.
She was united in marriage to Harrie O. Stuedemann June 6, 1924, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Lester Prairie.
Mrs. Stuedemann is survived by husband, Harrie O. Stuedemann; daughters; Mrs. Vernetta Clausen and her husband, Willis, Wilton, Iowa; Mrs. JoArda Ernst, Lester Prairie; Mrs. Louis Cardarelle and her husband, Frank, Edina; also 9-grandchildren, three great grandchildren, brother, Otto Breyer, Lester Prairie and sister, Mrs. Henry (Anna) Krohn, Brownton.
She was preceded in death by brother, Albert Breyer.
Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 5, 1979, at 2:00 o'clock from St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Lester Prairie. Pastor Charles R. Wind, officiating. Larry Finke was the organist and the congregational hymns were, "I Fall Asleep in Jesus Wounds," and "Jerusalem My Happy Home." Chapel services were held Thursday evening at Paul Funeral Home, Lester Prairie.

Harrie O. Stuedemann, age 75, of Lester Prairie passed away Tuesday, Feb 27, 1979, at the Metropolitan Medical Center, Minneapolis.
He was born August 4, 1903 at Plato, son of the late William and Elsie Deicken Stuedemann. He was baptized August 23, 1903 at St. Paul's E. & R. Church, Plato and confirmed April 1, 1917 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Plato.
He was united in marriage to Ella Breyer June 6, 1924, at St. Peter's Lutheran, Lester Prairie.
Mr. Stuedemann is survived by daughters : Mrs. Vernetta Clausen and her husband, Willis, Wilton, Iowa; Mrs. JoArda Ernst. Lester Prairie and Mrs. Lois Cardarelle and her husband, Frank, Edina; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Also brothers: Wilbert Stuedemann, Plato; Elmer and Elwin Stuedemann, Glencoe,; sisters: Mrs. Eugenia Schuette, Plato; Mrs. Lucinda Krinke, Plato; Mrs. Elda Reinitz, Buffalo and Mrs. Welthy Mueller, Eagle Wis. survive.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 2, from St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Lester Prairie, Pastor Charles R. Wind, officiating. Larry Finke was the organist and the congregational hymns were "In The Cross of Christ I Glory" and "The Church's One Foundation." Visitation was held at Paul Funeral Home, Lester Prairie.

Services for Mrs. Wilbert (Hilda Ann) Stuedemann, 85, of Glencoe and formerly of Plato, Minnesota, were held Saturday, June 9, 2001, at 2:00 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Plato, with Rev. Bruce Laabs officiating. The organist was Ardell Miller and the soloist, William Parpart, sang "In the Garden." The St. John's Choir sang "So Nimm Denn Meine Haende" and the congregation sang "Abide With Me." Casket bearers were Bryan Stuedemann, Brad Stuedemann, Gregory Stuedemann, Jim Pautz, Jay Soeffker, and Paul Sprengeler. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Stuedemann was born September 14, 1915, in Bergen Township, McLeod County, Minnesota, the daughter of Gustave and Emma (Lueck) Weibke. She was baptized September 26, 1915, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Plato, by Rev. R. Zwintscher and was confirmed at the same church April 28, 1929, also by Rev. Zwintscher. Her education was in District Rural School and Parochial School for confirmation instructions. On December 21, 1933, she was united in marriage to Wilbert C. Stuedemann at St. John's Lutheran Church in Plato by Rev. Zwintscher. They operated a farm north of Plato until 1983, when they moved into Plato.
She was active in the Homemakers Club and in Senior Citizens at Plato, Glencoe, and Lester Prairie. She was a longtime member of the St. John's Ladies Aid and she played organ for worship services at the Long Term Care Unit in Glencoe. They moved to Orchards Estates in 1993. Her hobbies included flower gardening, especially her geraniums, canning much of her garden produce, sewing and making her own patterns, as well as being her husband's helpmate and fishing partner.
Since the fall of 2000, they have been residents at the Glencoe Regional Health Services Long Term Care Unit. It was there that she entered her eternal rest Tuesday evening, June 5, at the age of 85 years, 8-months, and 21-days.
Mrs. Stuedemann is survived by her husband, Wilbert Stuedemann; daughters and sons-in-law, Aileene and Earl Dammann of Glencoe, Eldana and Gilbert Soeffker of Glencoe, Glorian and Rev. Erwin Sprengeler of Green Isle; sons and daughters-in-law, Wilton and Betty Stuedemann of Plato, Gerald and Gail Stuedemann of Gaylord; grandchildren and their spouses, Connie and Jim Pautz, Karen and Bruce Bielke, Joan and Timothy Bode, Jane and Hal Baumchen, Judy and Charles Dahlheimer, Jay and Kari Soeffker, Elizabeth and Lane Hendrickson, Paul Sprengeler, Mary and Mike Sowa, Rebecca and Karl Zweifel, Angela and Jon Koffler, Joy and David Cunningham, Jeremy and Jennifer Sprengeler, Gregory Stuedemann, Timothy and Tracy Stuedemann, Daniel Stuedemann, Michelle and Max Ellzey, Brenda and Daniel Trout, Brian Stuedemann, Kristen and Andrew Hanke; 42 great-grandchildren; sister, Viona Schramm and her fiance Robert Gaumetz of Hutchinson; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Welthy and Edward Mueller of Eagle, WI, and Elda Reinitz of Buffalo; as well as nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Wilbert Carl Stuedemann. Funeral services for Wilbert Carl Stuedemann, 90, of Glencoe and formerly of Plato, were held on Sunday, May 12, from the St. John's Lutheran Church of Plato. Officiating was the Rev. Bruce Laabs.
Mr. Stuedemann died on Thursday, May 9, 2002, at Glencoe Regional Health Services' long-term care facility.
The organist was Cheryl Andrix. The congregational hymns were "Now The Light Has Gone Away" and "Amazing Grace." Soloist William "Buddy" Parpart sang "How Great Thou Art." The St. John's Church Choir sang "So nimm denn maene haende."
Pallbearers were Jay Soeffker, Paul Sprengeler, Bruce Bielke, Timothy Stuedemann, Bryan Stuedemann and Robert Reinitz. Interment followed the church service in the church cemetery.
Mr. Stuedemann was born to William C. and Elsa (Deicken) Stuedemann on Sept. 1, 1911, in Bergen Township, McLeod County. He was baptized on Sept. 17, 1911, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Plato by the Rev. R. Watch. Mr. Stuedemann attended the St. John's Parochial School. On April 5, 1925 Rev. Zwintscher confirmed him in the faith.
On Dec. 21, 1933, Mr. Stuedemann was united in marriage with Hilda A. Weibke at St. John's by the Rev. Zwintscher. The couple made their home on the Stuedemann family farm north of Plato until they moved into Plato in 1983. In 1993 they moved to Orchard Estates in Glencoe where they lived until becoming residents of the Glencoe Regional Health Services' long-term care unit in the fall of 2000.
Mrs. Stuedemann died in June of 2001 at the age of 85 years.
Mr. Stuedemann was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Plato. His devotion to a Christian education did take his family to First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe from 1951 through 1957 on account of St. Johns' Lutheran School closing.
He was an active member of the men's club at St. John's. Wilbert also participated in senior citizen activities in both Plato and Glencoe. He had a great devotion to his farm. His hard work ethic was shared with his family. He loved to improvise and fix around the farm. Mr. Stuedemann was a strong father figure to his family and was very supportive of his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed playing cards and bringing light to the day by singing favorite songs.
Survivors include his three daughters and two sons, Aileene (Earl) Dammann of Glencoe, Eldana (Gilbert) Soeffker of Glencoe, Glorian (the Rev. Erwin) Sprengeler of Green Isle, Wilton (Betty) Stuedemann of Plato, Gerald (Gail) Stuedemann of Gaylord; 21 grandchildren, Connie (Jim) Pautz, Karen (Bruce) Bielke, Joan (Timothy) Bode, Jane (Hal) Baumchen, Judy (Charles) Dahleimer, Jay (Kari) Soeffker, Elizabeth (Lane) Hendrickson, Paul Sprengeler, Mary (Mike) Sowa, Rebecca (Karl) Zweifel, Angela (Jon) Koffler, Joy (David) Cunningham, Jeremy (Jennifer) Sprengeler, Gregory Stuedemann and fiance, Becky Petrick, Timothy (Tracy) Stuedemann, Daniel Stuedemann, Michelle (Max) Ellzey, Brenda (Daniel) Trout, Brian Stuedemann, Bradley (Angela) Stuedemann, Kristen (Andrew) Hanke; 44 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Welthy (Edward) Mueller of Eagle, Wis., and Elda Reinitz of Buffalo; sister-in-law, Viona Schramm and fiance, Robert Baumetz, of Hutchinson; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
