A. Dewey Stuckey of Flagler Beach died Tuesday morning in the Flagler Clinic and Hospital following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Espanola on December 11, 1898 and was a life-long resident of Flagler County. He was a member of one of the pioneer families of this area.
Mr. Stuckey was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. He had been employed as a ranger in care of Lehigh Portland Cement Company before construction of the plant here. He was employed at the plant after it was completed.
Mr. Stuckey is survived by his widow, Mrs. Hazel Stuckey of Flagler Beach; one stepson, William Leonard of Ormond Beach; three brothers, William Stuckey of Ormond; Louis and Jesse Stuckey of Marineland; two half sisters, Mrs. Nora Malphurs of Bunnell and Mrs. Bertha Strickland of Ormond Beach. Also surviving are several neices and nephews.
Funeral services will be held from the Bunnell Methodist Church at two o'clock Thursday afternoon with the pastor, Rev. W. L. Spicer, Jr., officiating. Interment will follow in Espanola Cemetery.
The body will rest, at the Craig Funeral Home, 201 East Moody Blvd., from 7 o'clock Wednesday evening until noon Thursday, and at the church from 1 o'clock until the funeral hour.
Pallbearers are: Joe E. White, Bert Powell, Miller Teters, Lyman Gage, Tom Harkness, and Henry Wells.
