Stanley Banks
EXETER — Stanley Curtis Banks, 72, of Chestnut Street, died unexpectedly on Monday, Sept. 1, 2003, at his home.
He was born on Sept. 16, 1930, in Massachusetts, the son of Alfred and Bertha (Shaw) Banks.
He grew up in Massachusetts and had been a longtime resident of Exeter.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
In his younger years, he spent time as a race car driver and mechanic while living in the south.
He was formerly employed by Perkins Construction in Raymond as a mechanic.
In his spare time, he enjoyed making leather products.
He was predeceased by his wife, Irma Banks, in 1992.
He is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Ellsworth of Seabrook and Lynda Zych of Seabrook; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, the late George Banks of Nottingham, the late Robert Banks of Boston and Allister Banks of Maine; three sisters, Mildred Ladd of Munson, Mass.; Gertrude, and Gladys. several nieces and nephews. - submitted by
