A.D. stands for Alex Dozier. He was my Grandfather.He had 13 children 2 of which died shortly after birth. My Dad told me that he could work harder than anyone he's ever known. He was a sharecropper and provided for 11 children ,they never went hungry. It has also been said that he produced the best smoked ham Alabama has ever tasted.
