In or about 1928, after the death of his first wife Mary Nevius Shipley, my maternal great grandfather Albert A. Shipley married Rachel Ellison Shipley (Maiden name unknown). She was born December 23, 1886 in South Carolina. He was 57 and she was 40, and it was her first marriage. Rachel E. died at the ripe old age of 93 April 2, 1979. My uncle who was one of the few family members that actually met her said that Rachel moved south to be with her sister after Albert death. Albert and Rachel resided at 848 Richmond avenue in Plainfield NJ and did not have any children together.
