John Reehill had a middle initial "A". (Aloysius). He was Married to Genevieve Reehill (1893-1986). In his later years, he had dementia. He was very close to his sons Jack A and William E.
William E often spoke of how close he was with his father, John. He said it was similar to the closeness he felt with his beloved son, Robert Reehill who died in 2001 at the age of 40.
John A Reehill liked to be called "Doc" but was never a doctor. He was a butcher and made a good living, surviving even the depression. He and his wife Genevieve made many wise investments and built a solid retirement by their later years. He wanted his son William to become a doctor, but William became a lawyer instead, and for many years was a public defender in Kenton County , KY in the 1970'2-1990's.
John never approved of his son's marriage to Lois Reehill, since she was poor Cincinnati stock and he treated her very badly for her entire marriage to his son until their (his son's) divorce in 1975. - submitted by

William E has five living children: Carol, William Jr, Jennifer, Susan and Cheryl. | Robert Reehill was a beloved brother, father and son. My brother Robert was diagnosed in 1997 with bi-polar disorder. It ruined his life as he could not get any help for his illness. He was unmedicated and had been in a deep depression in 2001 when he hung himself in Louisville, KY, in the woods near Cox Park. He was survived by his only son Robert Reehill (1981-). Robert played guitar from the age of 16 and was a very talented singer, songwriter and musician. He loved his only son and was very proud of his son, Robert(Sept,1981-). Robert Reehill served honorably in the Navy from 1983-1989. He was survived by his 5 siblings; Carol Ann Mesford, William Reehill, Jennifer Reehill, Susan Lee Reehill& Cheryl Marie Reehill. Robert was buried in Verona, KY on Halloween, 2001. His mother, Lois has just passed away in May of 2001 and had been cremated. Lois Reehill's ashes were buried in Roberts casket with his body on 10/31/2001. The statue at the graveyard in Verone=a is a tall, beautiful "Lady looking at God" created in Rome, purchased in Missouri and transported to KY for his gravesite. His grave is also marked by a veterans marker, compliments of the US Government. Robert Reehill was very, very close with his father, William E Reehill who passed some years after Robert in October of 2009. William E Reehill never recovered from the heartache of losing his beloved son, Robert. - submitted by

John A Reehill was known as Jack and was a fraternal twin to William E Reehill (1926-2009). Both twins died in 2009, only 5 months apart. They were very close most of their life. In the 1960's one twin, William E moved to Ohio, then a few years later settled in the state of Kentucky, where he remained for the duration of his life.
Both twins served in the US Navy during WWII.
Jacks parents were Genevieve Marie(1893-1986) and John A Reehill(1897-1975) of NJ. Jack loved living near his mother until her death in 1986 in NJ, and had been very close to her in life. Jack married in 1976 to Josephine. They did not have any children. Jack had 5 living nieces and nephews on his brothers side of the family: Carol Ann, William, Jennifer, Susan & Cheryl. - submitted by
