| Jesse Julius Pollard was son of Parham Jefferson Pollard and Laura E. Stubbs Pollard. Parham was son of Casper Paham Pollard and Mahala Honeycutt. Laura E. Stubbs was daughter of James Owen Stubbs died when Laura was about 2 years old in the CSA conflict Champion Hill battle between Jackson, Ms and Vicksburg, Ms. Laura was born 1861 father died June 15, 1863. Laura was sister to my grandfather James Franklin Stubbs, Panola County, Ms. I have ordered a stone for James Owen Stubbs to be delivered in about 2 months, ordered just last week. It will be set in Love Joy Cemetery, Panola County, Ms. A stone dedication service conducted by the Sons of the Confederate Veterans will be held when it gets a little cooler say late Sept or Oct. I will try to put a public notice out on date when I feel I can be assured of when the stone will be shipped. A grave has not been found for James Owen so I am having the stone put in Love Joy where his only son and wife, Laura Louella McCullar, their son William Jack Stubbs, and daughter Clara Stubbs are buried I hope to tell the date of dedication when I can. I will notify the Panolian newspaper when the time comes. - submitted by

| I am a niece of Mellie and Julius Pollard.. My Grandfather was William Anderson Pollard. I would love to find out more information on surviving Pollards. I was born in 1948 and was about 26 the last time I saw my Grandfather. I know there is a cousin named Max, but I've long since lost contact. - submitted by
