Lillie Beth Bell Orman, age 80, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, November 20, 2008, in Burnet, Texas. Lillie Beth was born on August 4, 1928, in Big Spring, Texas, and was the daughter of Beulah Alpha Glenn Bell and Cody Mood Bell, Sr. During her life she lived in West Texas, California and Arkansas. She attended business and cosmetology schools after graduating from high school. Lillie Beth married Macyl K. Orman in 1955 and had two children, a daughter, Glenna Bell Orman and a son, Cody Lee Orman. In 1967 the Orman's moved to Burnet, Texas, where Lillie Beth became a full time mother, rancher and homemaker. An avid cook and seamstress, she was active in the Bethel Home Demonstration Club, Burnet Extension Homemakers Club, the Burnet County Farm Bureau, the Burnet County Fair & Rodeo Association, Pen Chat Club. She was a 4-H Foods and Clothing Leader, member of the First United Methodist Church's Joy Choir and full time supporter of her husband and her children's, grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's school, youth, livestock show and rodeo activities. Lillie Beth was an active contributor and benefactor to her church and community Lillie Beth's survivors are her husband, Macyl K. Orman; a daughter, Glenna Bell Orman; her son and daughter-in-law, Cody Lee and Glenda Orman; her grandson and wife, Nathan and Lanie Orman; granddaughter and husband, Crissy and Nick Alderman; granddaughter and husband, Jessica and Kyle Kates; and grandson, Dustin Orman. Great grandchildren are Nicholas, Blake, Bryson, Cordyn and Erin. She is also survived by her brother and his wife, Cody and Donna Bell of Rankin, Texas; nephews, John Bell and his wife, Celeste of Plano; Cody Bell III of Dallas, and niece, Kristin and husband Denson Reid of Rankin, Texas. Other nephews surviving Lillie Beth are Bill Orman and his wife, Kay of Plainview, and their children, and Larry Orman and his wife, Cheryl of Amarillo, Texas and their children. She was especially proud of her great-nieces, Mary Bell of Plano, and Allison Reid; and great- nephew, Kevin Reid of Rankin, Texas. There are numerous special cousins, other cherished relatives and a host of friends with whom she shared a lifetime of love and laughter. The family is very grateful to Bobbie Frost, her caregiver; Lighthouse Hospice, especially Joan Bodwell and Janna Latham; and her very special friends Judy Lightfoot and Mona Lewis. The spiritual ministry of Rev. Ellen Ely and Rev. Buddy Johnston was particularly meaningful to her. Lillie Beth and Macyl would have celebrated their 53rd anniversary Sunday, November 23rd. Visitation will be Sunday, November 23, 2008, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., at the Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, in Burnet Texas. The Celebration of Life and Resurrection for Lillie Beth will be held on Monday, November 24, 2008, at 10:00 a.m., at the First United Methodist Church of Burnet, Texas. Interment will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park on Park Road 4. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association , American Diabetes Association or the church or charity of your choice.
