John Miklovic was my grandfather from my mother's side. My grandmother, Eva Miklovic is listed below on this site. Both of my grandparents came over from Yugoslavia, from what I understand, just at the beginning of WWI. The first ship was too full for them, and was sunk by the German navy. They then boarded the second ship and arrived in America.
The first residence I know for them was in Barberton Ohio, and then they moved to Rockdale, just east of Cambridge Springs Pa about 1933 I would guess. They lived and ran a farm in Rockdale near Frech Creek, and then later moved oustside of Venango, Pa of route 99 and farmed until my grandfather retired about 1963.
They had 11 Children whom my mother was one, and as of 2011, I belived there are only 2 surviving. My uncle Edward Miklovic who resides in Cambridge Springs, and Evelyn (Miklovic)Holland whose last known address was in California.
The were devout Christians, but I am unable to determine exactly where the immigrated from in Yugoslavia. The only information about Yugoslavia is that my grandmother used to play with gypsies when she was young.
I have other pesonal details and memiors of John and Eva, but would only interest immediate decendants of them.

Eva Miklovic was my grandmother-wife of John Miklovic from Venango Pa, (listed above). She actually passed away at a hospital in Meadville, Pa. She lived with my aunt Irene Zemcik just prior to entering the a Meadville Hospital. Thus, the Waterford, Pa. address was my late aunt Irene Zemcik's address.
Eva came from Yugoslavia to America with John just prior to WWI. She is buried in the cemetary inside the city of Cambridge Springs (I don't know the name) with my grandfather -John Miklovic, and also beside her son John Miklovic Jr. who preceeded both my grandparents in death. John Mikolvic Jr. passed away about 1961 I belive-he never married. - submitted by
