Mr. Joseph K. Langenstein Jr., 39,

Sunday, March 20, 1988 at Johns Hopkins
Hospital, Baltimore. He was the husband
of Janet L. Kitzmiller
Langenstein.
Born March 21, 1948, in Hagerstown,
he was the son of Joseph K, and Dorothy
Jane Smith Langenstein Sr. of
Hagerstown.
Mr. Langenstein attended North
Hagerstown High School and had been
employed by Sellmore Industry of
Maryland in Hagerstown. He was a
member of the Loyal Order of Moose,
Chapter 212, Hagerstown. He was a
veteran of the U.S. Army.
Surviving besides his wife and parents
are two sons, Joseph K. Langenstein HI
and Phillip J. Langenstein, both of
Hagerstown; three sisters, Carol Ann
Kline Lewis, Bonnie S. Lynn and Cindy
K. Wolfe, all of Hagerstown; and one
brother, Dennis R. Langenstein of
Sharpsburg.
The family will receive friends 7-9
p.m. Wednesday, March 23, at the
Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m.
Thursday, March 24, at the funeral
home, with the Rev. G.A. Limmer
officiating- Burial will be in the
Smithsburg Cemetery.

Bertha Langenstein
Bertha Langenstein, 80, of 1748 Howell Road, Hagerstown, died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Aug. 22, 1922, in Austria, she was the daughter of the late Isadore and Gisela Holzer Holzer.
Her husband, John F. Langenstein, died in 1987.
She was a homemaker and volunteered in the community.
She is survived by one daughter, Rhonda Nowacek of Laurel, Md.; one sister, Hilda Ehrenberger of Boynton Beach, Fla.; one brother, Joseph Holzer of New York; and three grandchildren.
Services will be today at 1:30 p.m. at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, Hagerstown. Rabbi Janice B. Garfunkel will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends today from 1 to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trauma Center of Washington County Hospital, 251 E. Antietam St., Hagerstown, MD 21740.

Dorothy Jane Langenstein, 81, of 919 Concord St. in Hagerstown, died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004, at her home.
Born Aug. 4, 1923, in Smithsburg, she was the daughter of the late Silas Smith and Minnie Wolfe Smith.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Carroll M. Kline.
She was a member of AARP.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Joseph Kerr Langenstein; two daughters, Bonnie Lynn and Cindy Godlove, both of Hagerstown; one son, Dennis R. Langenstein of Sharpsburg; one brother, Howard Smith of Smithsburg; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Carol A. Lewis; one son, Joseph K. Langenstein; two sisters, Gladys Smith and Mildred Miller; and three brothers, Melvin Smith, Merle Smith and Francis Smith.
Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, Hagerstown. The Rev. Steve D. Robison will officiate. Burial will follow in Smithsburg Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 1500 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.
