Hi. My wife's great aunt, Cornelia Eckert of Kansas City, may have been married, briefly, to Frederick in July 1948. It appears the marriage was annulled, based on circumstancial clues. Wondering if you have any further information about Cornelia, or about Frederick's first (?) wife, Bertha Quade. - submitted by Joe Taylor on 03/17/2023

• EDWARD L HEYEL User-Added Information
Eddie (1/1/26-3/24/01) was the youngest of the Heyel children. He was only eight years old when his father died in 1934. When Pearl Harbor was bombed in 1941, seven years later, and the United States entered the war, Eddie was almost sixteen. Eddie joined the navy and served on a battleship in the Pacific. In 1947 Eddie married his sweetheart, Betty Kehring, who was from Glidden. They lived in a small house in Shanagolden, close to Grace Heyel. After Grace died in 1970, Betty and Eddie and their family joined Robert in the Heyel house. Eddie had a great sense of humor. What a guy!

Eddie was my great uncle. I was able to get to visit with him a few times. I enjoyed his humor. - submitted by on 12/25/2010
