William A. Deglow
William A. Deglow, 912 Madison St., Beaver Dam, passed away at the Lutheran Hospital, here, Sunday, October 6, following an illness for the past year.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2:00 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. Rev. Elton H. Huebner will officiate at the services and burial will be in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Mayville.
The late Mr. Deglow was born on September 5, 1891, at Fountain Prairie, Wisconsin, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Deglow. He attended schools in Columbus. On May 15, 1913, he was married to Alma Baaske. Mr. Deglow lived at Columbus until his marriage, then at Mayville, and for many years in Beaver Dam.
Surviving him are his wife; four daughters, Selma Deglow, Fond du Lac, Mrs. Joe (Florence) Bauer, Beaver Dam, Mrs. Bernice Tiegs, Brookfield, and Mrs. William (Helen) Bachman, Milwaukee; one son, William Deglow Jr., Charleston, South Carolina, 12 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Helen Langley, Randolph.
Preceding in death were his parents; three sons, two in infancy, and Herbert in the U.S. armed forces; five brothers; and five sisters.
Mr. Deglow was a retired employee of the Beaver Dam City Water Department. He was a member of St. Stephen’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Friends may call at the Briese Co. Funeral Home after 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, and after 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church until the services at 2:00 p.m.
