Beunie Dansby was born in Franklin Town, Heard County, Georgia. Beunie was the 5th son and 11th child of Mozelle Sanford Dansby and Julia "Mittie"Kirk Dansby. Beunie's first wife was Mary White, and they were married in Franklin, Heard County, Georgia. It is believed that Beunie lived some time in Columbus, Georgia prior to ending up in Detroit, Michigan. Beunie died around the 1st of September 1975.When Beunie died, his parents had long since been deceased both in the 1930's. These are the 10 brothers and sisters that preceeded him in death. Henrietta Dansby McGhee, Obra Dansby Redding, Nancy Dansby Hunter Harris, Joseph Dansby, William Dansby, Simon Dansby, Namon Dansby, Ola Dansby Stegall, Ora Dansby and Mozelle Sanford Dansby II. The last surviving sibling for Beunie Dansby was his sister Mrs. Sofia Dansby Chance, who died in October of 1980. I forgot to mention that this group of Dansby are descended from Simeon Dansby 1832-1910 and Mariah Dansby Dukes Dansby (1839-1870). The children of Simeon and Mariah Dansby were Elisabeth Dansby Wilkerson, Mozelle Sanford Dansby I, Henry Dansby, Milly Ann Dansby Troy, Joseph Dansby and Emma Dansby Allen.
Of the known living male Dansby family members from this Heard County Family of Dansbys are Charles Namon Dansby and his brother Robert Dansby sons of the deceased Namon Dansby. Gregory Orlando Dansby and Kenneth Ivan Dansby sons of the Deceased Mozelle Sanford Dansby III. Other Dansby that may be of this Linage may include the sons/grandsons of Joseph Dansby deceased in Dayton, Ohio. Sons or grandsons of Simon Dansby, deceased in Dayton, Ohio.
