Myrtle Jean (Weaver) Berhow
Myrtle Jean Berhow, daughter of Hermie and Peggy (Doege) Weaver, was born October 23, 1931 at Buffalo Center, Iowa.
On November 2, 1949, she was united in marriage to Donald W. Berhow at the First Congregational Church in Buffalo Center. Most of their married life was spent on a farm northwest of Thompson. After retiring from farming, the couple moved to Buffalo Center, where they resided.
Myrt gave freely of herself for 17+ years as a Hospice volunteer. She also filled her time working at the Pumpkin Patch near Thompson and clerking at auction sales. Myrt was a very active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She had numerous interests. A few of her favorites included cake decoration, camping and fishing.
Myrt passed away on Monday, September 2, 2002 at her home surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her husband, Don of Buffalo Center; two sisters: Verna Jean Ewert of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Zella Mirick and her husband, Dusty of Eagan , Minnesota and one brother Gary Weaver and fiancée Alice Welsh of Melborne, Florida. Also by her extended family: Bob and Linda, Jim and Janean, Tom and Connie, Randy and Mary, and Doug and Janet Berhow and Don and Joy Wilson. Plus a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Robert Dean Berhow
Robert Dean Berhow was born on February 24, 1933 in Winnegabo County, IA to Roy and Annie (Lamping) Berhow. Bob was baptized in the Lutheran Faith. He graduated from Buffalo Center High School. Bob farmed near Buffalo Center, IA, worked in construction, and was later employed for 26 years at Winnebago Industries as a Supervisor in the Weld Shop. He retired in 1995.
He married Viola Hagenson on March 25, 1953. This marriage was blessed with four children: Gescha; Madonna; Douglas; and Tim. He was later divorced. Bob found the love of his life, Linda Burch, and they were married on December 17, 1983. Bob enjoyed fishing, playing cards and cribbage, and watching and cheering for the Green Bay Packers. He also enjoyed spending time at his lake home in Spirit Lake, IA. Bob particularly enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Bob is survived by his wife Linda Mae Berhow of Garner, IA; his children; Gescha Lynn Schroader of Lake Mills, IA; Madonna Kay Merriam of Forest City, IA; Douglas Robert Berhow and his wife Janet of Forest City, IA and Timothy Lee Berhow of Bayard, IA His grandchildren; Cory Alan Gregor and his wife Emilie; Dallas Lynn Gregor; Andy Lee Gregor; Shane Allen Hill; Angela Kay Merriam; Nicole Marie Merriam; James Thomas Merriam; and Sarah Nicole Berhow; His great-grandchildren: Gaven Alan Gregor; Graysen Dean Gregor; Jacob Ryan Merriam; Dylan Thomas Merriam; Madison Kay Merriam; and Bryce Allen Merriam; his brothers: Donald Wayne Berhow of Buffalo Center, IA; Jimmie Lee Berhow of Ames, IA and Randy Roy Berhow and his wife Mary of Watertown, MN and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Bob was prededed in death by his parents; two brothers; Tom and Cleo; his sister Shirley; and his granddaughter Dawn Lunning.
