Do you mean Barbara Ann? Sorry, but this is a novel. Be patient, I have to vent. If this doesn't pertain to you, I apologize.
This name shouldn't be Barbara W, but Barbara Ann if we are talking about the same person. Barbara Ann Sparks died of Alzheimer's disease in 2003 I believe (I know this is terrible that I'm not sure, but honestly I don't like to think about it). The disease had been taking it's toll, but it hit really hard the day she fell down her stairs. She laid there in her blood with broken bones and (I'm sorry, I have to say this) her own feces. My mom found her after she had been laying there a long time. If it wasn't for her, she could have gotten even worse or maybe even died then. She was my grandmother. We were very close. The last thing I saw before she died was a tear coming down her face. To see a loved one suffer so badly is one of the most terrible horrors anyone could experience and it never leaves you. It was like seeing an innocent child slowly dying a horrible death. Sorry to be so depressing. When I saw that I felt like I died inside. I wanted to cry, but I stayed strong for Mims(Barbara). She had a rough life, but she was the strongest person (mentally and perhaps even spiritually) that I have ever known. She had a spirit that was unbreakable. I only hope I can be half as wonderful as she was. I knew at her funeral that she was with the angels now. Her suffering was over and after I had accepted that I could move on. I used to have dreams that she was still alive and her disease had stopped momentarily and I was trying to show everyone that she was okay now, but no one listened. I've heard that me and her have a lot in common. We do have the same hazel eyes. Thank God that I can enjoy having this rare trait in common with her. I know if she could speak to me now, she would say not to worry. She would tell me everything's okay now. I find that slowly I am starting to believe that. Still, it just isn't the same without her. Now that my poor grandfather's health had declined, the family has become bitter and is already fighting over what they will get when he goes. It's a very SICK and DISGUSTING thing to have to witness. It is a human life! Don't they realize that? They can keep all the STUPID cars (yes, that's right those stupid toys called cars. I've almost grown to hate them at times. After all I was even promised one or two, but I don't care if I get it. It's a dumb car, it's not my grandfather or my grandmother), houses, properties and what not as long as Papaw can go on living. If Papaw leaves this world (and I pray that he does not. I still think he won't. Keep hope alive.) his heirs are going to go buck wild. I wish I could flee the country and separate myself from this sick and twisted ritual that some have been planning. I don't care if I don't get whatever Papaw's left me as long as I don't have to witness the mongrels gather up the scraps that have been left. Stupid possessions. Why can't Papaw just will everything to charity and avoid the whole thing? A possession DOES NOT HOLD A SPIRIT! A POSSESSION IS A LIFELESS, INANIMATE OBJECT! SORRY, I'm probably preaching to the choir here. I better stop here. Oh the stories I could tell you. I don't care to keep them secret either. Like the time a certain someone called Mims crazy in front of everyone when she was had Alzheimer's. But I must remember, vengeance is not mine. It is God's. We must pray for our enemies. I believe a heart full of anger leaves no room for the spirit. And he will carry me through, just like he did that earthly angel known as Barbara Ann Sparks. - submitted by
