Arthur Althiser was a brother to Charles E. Althiser, also shown on this page. Arthur was husband of Susanna Althiser (1893-1978) See Susanna also on this page. Arthur and Susanna are buried in Mt. Marion Cemetery, Saugerties, NY. Charles E. Althiser also buried in Mt. Marion Cemetery, Saugerties, NY. Arthur had two additional sisters, Susie Althiser Schlotter who died in the 1970's in the Cohoes/Albany area of NYS. She was married to John Schlotter who died prior to her death. His other sister was Elizabeth "Libby" Althiser Doyle (my grandmother) who married William Henry Doyle in 1914. Libby was born July 13, 1890 on Acorn Hill, town of Olivebridge, NY. Ulster Co. William and Libby are both buried in Mt. Marion Cemetery, Saugerties, N.Y. as well.
William and Libby were the parents of Susie Doyle Ahl, Jan. 1915- Sept. 1979, wife of Joseph N. Ahl. Charles Wm. Doyle (my father) born Dec. 1915 - Feb. 1984, husband of Minnie Etta VanValkenburg Doyle, Mildred Doyle VanValkenburg DOB ?, died 1994, Richard Ellsworth Doyle, U.S.A.A.F., killed in action, Sept. 5, 1944 over France, tail gunner in B17, age 24, and James Arthur Doyle, U.S. Marines killed in action April 30, 1945 @ Okinawa Island. All of these persons are buried in Mt. Marion Cemetery, Saugerties, NY with the exception of Mildred Doyle V.V. who is buried in the Katsbaan cemetery, Saugerties, NY. NOTE: Mildred Doyle, (sister of Charles Wm. Doyle married William VanValkenburg, brother of Charles' wife, Minnie Etta V.V. VanValkenburgh. I have pictures of nearly all of these persons, many dating back to the late 1800's, early 1900's. Contact w/ others working on Althiser Family Tree would be appreciated. - submitted by

| This Charles E. Althiser was my great uncle and I have much more information on him, his siblings, his parents, his grandparents nieces, nephews, etc. Am working on the family tree. I was 19 when he died and knew him well. He was the brother of Arthur Althiser also shown on this site who died in 1966 in L. Worth, Fla. I am interested in sharing information and expect information in return on the Althiser family. I also have some pictures of Charles and Arthur w/ their other siblings and parents from the late 1800's and early 1900's. Two other Althiser's listed are known relatives.
