| Claudia died in a car accident. She was a beautiful young woman inside and out. I still think of her. - submitted by

Over the last 31 years sense Claudia's death I have thought of her often..wonderd what her life would have been like...would she had gotten married, had children, had a career,..been happy.
I remember...we had the same psychology class together in our last semester of high school. This one particular day, the teacher had asked each of us to tell the class how we think others see us and what we wanted to do after high school...If I'm remembering this correctly..Claudia said she was a good friend ,nice and maybe even pretty... wanted to go to college..maybe be a psychologist..What I do remember the most is what I was thinking as she spoke..yes, you are nice... and pretty... probably would make a great psychologist one day..and wished I had the confidence in myself as she seemed to have.
If there is one thing I have remembered and think about often over the last 31 years is that fate or maybe luck was on my side that weekend she passed away. It was a beautiful spring afternoon, a friday..I think, I was leaving the school parking lot in my car, I could see Claudia off in the distance, in a pretty white sundress.. thought how pretty she looked, she waved, came over to my car and asked if I would like to join her and a friend to come see a school play at another high school, I said maybe.. I'd call her. Now this part i'm a little foggy on, but I think it was her friend who called me..but i'm sure it was the night of the accident..I said I just wasn't in the mood to go.
It was on a Monday, I had driven into the school parking lot and saw a group of kids crying. I got out of my car to see what was wrong..I was told that Claudia had died.
To this day it haunts me..was it fate? luck??
her time to go??
I know someday I will see her agian...and i guess that's when I will no the answers to these questions.
